Dude, that doesn't help me when I can't turn the volume up on my computer. And what are you doing posting at 4 in the afternoon??

Ok, my Mac at home won't open this, and my PC at work now will also not open this. As Scott would say, www.whatthefuck.com?

The Vorbidden Zone

Blimey. Mmm, have you read this F-ly A-ed Q about these sound files? Instead of MP3, these are showing up in Ogg Vorbis format, which may be confusing your player. What player do you use, anyway? Playa?

"Ogg Vorbis." Great fidelity on phoned-in speech, but that name. It sounds like the new action figure for the winter '03 rollout of Masters Of The Universe products. "Pit He-Man against the evil Ogg Vorbis and his Varvacron Sword! Some assembly required!"

Re: The Vorbidden Zone

Skeletor could totally kick his ass. Unless he pulled out the Vogon poetry. :)
I use Quicktime on both, but I have WMP at work due to the PC-ness of my PC. I'll try the Quicktime patch tomorrow. Tonight I'm curling up and reading some Howard Zinn before bedtime.

42.

Don't count out Man-At-Arms. That armor thing he wears contains both a deadly volume of Vorbis poetry--Vogon poetry, sorry--AND no-tea.

And reading Howard Zinn before bedtime sure beats reading Howard Dean before bedtime. Or does it?!

Re: 42.

Well, reading Howard Zinn turned into "talking to Alice for an hour on the phone as she called me walking home on the freezing streets on New York," so I'm not sure. I read about ten pages of him last night and then got sucked in again while reading it on the bus this morning. I should read more about Howard Dean, but I think I have a few months to catch up on my history before I turn to the hideously depressing future. Though I think I'll be getting a lot more involved in this election than I have in elections past.

Woohoo, I got a shout-out! I gave you a shout-out in my lengthy post, but trust me, it wasn't out of reciprocity. :)

Word! Looks like everyone got a shout-out in your post. Man, PhonePosting is fun but I sound fucking drunk. Comes from being on a break after six hours of skull-clutching work and one of our busiest days ever, AFTER a holiday weekend. Urf. Fortunately, I made some more coherent statements over at said lengthy post...

Well, hello there Mr. A! It's good to hear your voice. And I will forgive you the use of "anywhoo" just because you're so damn cute.

Aw, golly, Miss G. That shore done made me feel better about my quasi-thought out choice of words. You can't edit PhonePosts, so this is gonna be interesting if I choose to continue making them. It's like LiveJournal Improv™. Quick, give me the name of a dead president, an adverb, and a color that appears in the dining room design schema for Family Ties! Now GO!

Nice to hear from you as well. Cutie.

"Are you sure it's not Barry Manliow in his bicycle cape?"

Just think of me as the Kaiser Sozé of LJ users. I reveal myself, but only a little at a time. And I look like Kevin Spacey when I'm done.

Actually, I look nothing like Kevin Spacey. Nor Dangermouse, nor Penfold, nor even Colonel K. Certainly not as pants-poppingly studly as yourself, Captain C. (Which is perhaps why I choose to remain hidden from view...)

Until such a time as I have an online archive of Herb Ritts-style glamour shots that ooze sensuality and intrigue, my flippant Post-It™ caricature at left should give those at home a general idea of how I look.
